John H. Doede, Ph.D

Mr. Doede has over 30 years investment management experience in domestic and international institutional private equity activities in venture capital, leveraged buyouts and banking. He has overseen the placement of institutional capital and the operation of acquired companies. He has extensive banking experience both as a borrower and lender. Mr. Doede has a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Chicago an A.B. in Chemsitry from Harvard University.

Mr. Doede has held various executive positions with several companies, including:

• Chairman of AIG Silk Road Fund - an investment fund focused on Central Asia.
• Chairman and foudner of The Polaris Capital Group, Ltd - an institutionally funded merchant bank specializing in the acquisition and operation of branded industrial product companies.
• Director, Vice-Chairman and greater than 10% shareholder of the Bank of Coronado N.A.
• Vice President and a Director of First Chicago Venture Group - served in the number two position in the organization. This organization is now known as Madison Dearborn Capital Partners, LLC. He is a limited partner in four of their six funds.
